Trans Student Attacking Girls in School Restroom! Or, you know… not.

All weekend I saw the incredible internet headline proclaiming attacks made by a transgirl student upon her female cis-gender classmates in the school lavatory. The story claimed that the classmates were not allowed to defend themselves because the transgirl had the right to use the girls bathroom. Turns out that the story is not only incredible but it is false.  

The real story is of a couple of witch-hunting parents creating an internet media storm in order to attack a child and all trans* people in general. Kudos to Cristan Williams for tracking down the facts.

    This reached the Daily Mail, a British site which I heard today was the most-hit newspaper site in the world, which described the Pacific Justice Institute as a “Civil Rights Group” and the Christian Broadcasting Network as a “news source”.

    I found the suggestion that comments on the P”J”I site had put another side to the story, but now there are no comments there and no other views.

    I can answer it myself- two sets of parents objecting means they can write “girls” object, giving the impression of one pervert and all the real girls up in arms; they do not mention the girls who support this trans girl; but- where did you find a better understanding on the net?
